I had the best graphic design instructors in college, as part of my Communications major. Though I didn't end up focusing on graphic design, that insight informed everything else I love about design of all kinds. I learned about balance and texture and contrast. The rule of thirds. Spacing. Trapped space. Color and harmony. When we had our shop, I loved sourcing new designs and then creating fresh displays for everything. Bliss! Now I get to just observe and talk about it.
